Jack Burton is a down on his luck Englishman who is just back from South America runs into one Stuart Northcote a fabulously wealthy business man who currently has a group of assassins' after him.
Apparently the two men looked so much alike they could be twins so Northcote offers Jack a considerable amount of money if they could switch places for three weeks. If Jack is alive after the three weeks then Northcote will give him even more money.
Jack a bit of an adventure hound and needing the money agrees and within 48 hours Jack is almost killed twice. So begins Another Man's Shoes an action/adventure tale that sweeps you along as Jack tries to live another man's life while avoiding being killed.
Victor Bridges, real name Victor George de Freyne, born on 14 March 1878 at Clifton, Bristol, Victor George de Freyne may have been connected with a propertied family in County Sligo, Ireland. He was educated at Haileybury and Imperial Service College. He worked as a bank employee and as an actor in repertory theatre before becoming a full-time writer.
